Fashion Matches: Best Finds from This Week's Arrivals

This week's new arrivals are the exact opposite of last week's. If last week was all about ethereal dresses, this week it's all about the feathers, fringe, and lace. Feathers are provided courtesy of L.A.M.B. shoes, fringe from a flirtatious Nanette Lepore mini, and lace from Catherine Malandrino.

Before I go any further though I must bring attention to this simple top from James Perse. It's soft, its light, and the panels on the side really accentuate the waist. The truth is I've been waiting for it to come out for a long time. I've had the shorter rolled up sleeve version for a while. I wear it with jeans, with denim mini skirts and stilettos, and even to work when I want to look stylish yet professional. Now I no longer have to wait for warmer weather because there is finally a long sleeve version.

Now on to the lace. What's really great about this top is exactly what's great about the James Perse one above, it shows off the waist. With so many billowy tops out there, which I also happen to love, you tend to forget the great figure underneath. The lace detail and flutter sleeves bring a delicate touch.

I've seen plenty of fringe dresses this season but this is the first fringe skirt. Now you can have all the fun of dancing with fringe flying in all directions without bringing back the 70's full force :)

Nanette Lepore Venus mini skirt $225

I adore these shoes from L.A.M.B. There's a black version of them as well but I love the contrast of the gray with the feathers. They are unique, sexy, and will work with many different outfits.
