Fashion Matches: Best Finds from This Week's New Arrivals

Happy New Year's Everyone!!!!!!!!!! In Russia we exchange presents on New Years so this is officially the most exciting night. Here are some presents I wouldn't mind getting :)

I went on a little D&G streak a while ago. I love their prints, the flowers are so girly and refreshing. My favorite was the collection a while back with painted scenes reminiscent of impressionist art. Here's a beautiful flower print dress.

Love these delicate hoops from Landver. They come in both gold and silver, but I like the contrast of the gold hoop and the crystals.

These Chloe flats are super cute! The flower detail is awesome, it's a perfect pair of flats for warm spring/summer months.

Fashion Matches: Best Finds from This Week's New Arrivals

I don't know how this happened but today's new arrivals came out as an outfit. I'll be in Miami in a couple of weeks and this kind of look is exactly what I want to be wearing right about now, rather than my snow boots :)

This dress is a perfect summer dress. It is light, airy and fun to accessorize. I love the crochet details.

A bright bag adds a punch of color to what can otherwise be a bland look. This Topshop bag comes in black and white, but the coral really stands out. The two handles make it easy to carry in your hands or over the shoulder. The bow is a great accent.

Another way to make a statement is with a cool pair of earrings. Something about these Isharya earrings remind me of Egypt, maybe because I want to go there ;) The blue, white and gold color combination is refreshing and beautiful.

Finally, what is an outfit without a pair of awesome shoes. These sky high platforms will work with this dress, but also a pair of jeans. The nude color is great because it works with everything and elongates legs.

Fashion Matches: Best Finds from This Week's New Arrivals

It's freezing cold here in NYC and I want nothing more than to drift away to a place that's bright and sunny. Alas, this is not my fate so here are some clothes that are bright and sunny.

Have you ever looked at a skirt and told yourself: "It's cute, but I wish it was puffier?" This is your answer. It's adorable and actually can be worn in the winter with a fitted top to keep the outfit in balance.

Keeping it in the blue family, this is a day dress from See by Chloe. It reminds me of a carefree day in the countryside, a nice picnic, picking flowers. The sleeve detail adds to the delicate nature of the dress.

When I think of color, Marc Jacobs always comes up. And here's a perfect example: it's a violet and pink top with geometric detail. It's borderline too much, but the complimentary colors keep it from looking like a clown getup :)

I love these earrings! They look a bit exotic and would add just the right amount of sparkle to an outfit.

Celeb Closet!

I haven't done a celeb closet in a while.  That said here are a few cute items that J.Lo, L.C. and Tay.Swift wore (ok, I made that last one up because it wasn't going with the flow ;)
First up, a Rebecca Taylor party dress that Taylor Swift wore.  I love Taylor more and more each time I see  her.  She's beautiful but also seems like a genuinely sweet, good person, and her clothes perfectly compliment that image.

Rebecca Minkoff is known for her bags, so I did a bit of  double take when I saw this blouse on Lauren Conrad.  Paired with leather pants like L.C. or with jeans, it's a classic shirt that will never go out of style.

Finally, some cool looking booties from  Elizabeth and James.  Jennifer Lopez pairs them with boyfriend jeans but they'll look awesome with skinny jeans as well.

Fashion Matches: Best Finds from This Week's New Arrivals

I keep on telling myself it's winter because I look outside in NYC and it's 60 degrees out and it's hard to think of sweaters, coats, and boots. That being said, here is a sweater, boots, and since it's still warm - a dress!

Not all of us can afford Alexander Wang so it's good to see a similar sweater for a fraction of the price. This sweater is from Urban Outfitters. It'll go fantastic with tights and boots like the ones below ;). It kind of reminds me of something I'd see on the Matrix, maybe post fight...

So speaking of the boots, here are slouchy suede wedges that will look fantastic with just about anything. Wedges are more dressy than flats, but more comfortable than heels, so its a perfect medium.

Cutout are everywhere but it's winter now so it may not be so practical. That is unless the dress in question is this Elizabeth and James dress. It has an open back with mesh, sexy but still doesn't leave you too exposed. I'd cut the tag off and one more note: tattoo is not included :)
